How Synor Built a Complete Literary Platform for Sahitya Sutra — Print on Demand, Book Publication and Literary Events Under One Digital Roof
The Challenge
Sahitya Sutra operates across multiple complex service verticals — print on demand, book publication, and literary event management. Without a professional website, the organisation was losing author inquiries, event bookings, and publication partnerships to competitors with stronger digital presence — despite offering genuinely superior services rooted in deep literary expertise.
- No central digital platform connecting all three service verticals
- Authors could not find or evaluate their services online
- Event booking inquiries happening entirely through personal referrals — no digital capture system
- Invisible on Google for high-intent publishing and literary event keywords
- No way to showcase past literary events and publication portfolio to build credibility
Our Strategy
Synor designed a multi-service literary platform strategy with three core pillars:
- Unified Multi-Service Website — A single professional platform on sahityasutra.com presenting all three service verticals — print on demand, book publication, and literary events — within a cohesive, culturally resonant design that honours the depth and elegance of literary work.
- Author and Organiser Journey Design — Separate optimised pathways for each audience type — authors seeking publication, event organisers seeking literary function management, and readers browsing published titles — each with clear service descriptions, process explanations, and inquiry systems.
- Publishing and Literary Event SEO — Comprehensive keyword targeting for print on demand, self-publishing, and literary event keywords nationally — capturing authors and organisations at the exact moment they are searching for these services online.
Execution
Synor executed the Sahitya Sutra platform in three phases over 18 days:
- Days 1 to 5: Discovery and architecture planning — mapping all three service verticals, defining audience pathways, keyword research for publishing and literary event searches nationally, and design direction development rooted in Hindi literary aesthetic values.
- Days 5 to 14: Full website design and development — including dedicated sections for print on demand, book publication, and literary event management, author inquiry and submission systems, event booking inquiry forms, WhatsApp integration, and past event and publication portfolio showcase.
- Days 14 to 18: SEO implementation — PublicationEvent and LocalBusiness schema markup, meta optimization across all pages, Google Business Profile setup, Search Console submission, and initial citation building across literary and publishing directories.
Results
Within 45 days of launching sahityasutra.com, Sahitya Sutra began receiving consistent digital inquiries across all three service verticals — authors, event organisers, and institutional partners discovering the organisation through Google for the first time.
- First author publication inquiry received within 10 days of launch through website contact form
- Google ranking achieved for print on demand and book publishing keywords in Varanasi within 45 days
- Event booking inquiries received from organisations outside Varanasi discovering through national search
- Website presents all three service verticals within a unified platform — first time in organisation's history
- Mobile-first design achieving 88 score on Google PageSpeed Insights for mobile
