Synor Is Hiring in Varanasi — Join Us in 2026

I will be direct about where Synor stands right now: we are a growing web development agency based in Varanasi, we have completed 15+ projects, crossed ₹2 lakhs in revenue in our first six months, and we are operating with exactly one full-time person — me. That is not a sustainable position for an agency with the kind of pipeline we are building, and it is why I am writing this.

Synor is actively hiring across four roles in 2026. This is not a corporate job post. There is no HR department, no three-round interview process, no panel of strangers asking you where you see yourself in five years. This is a 13-year-old founder in Varanasi who built something real, needs people who are serious about their craft, and is ready to compensate fairly — on a freelance, project, or salary basis depending on what works for both sides.

If that sounds like something you want to be part of, read on. If you want a guaranteed monthly salary from day one without proving your value first, this probably is not the right fit — and I would rather be honest about that upfront than waste anyone's time.

Why Synor Exists and What We Are Actually Building

Synor was founded in June 2025 with one clear thesis: local businesses in Varanasi and across Uttar Pradesh deserve professional, fast, SEO-built digital products — not broken WordPress templates, not overpriced agency fluff, not cookie-cutter websites that look identical to fifty other businesses in the same lane.

In six months, we built websites for a film production company, a Kavi Sammelan organiser, a traditional sweet e-commerce brand, an EdTech platform, a publication house, a travel company, a signage business, a café, an affiliate marketing operations platform, and more. You can see all of it on our projects page.

Every project is built on Next.js with Node.js on the backend. We use Tailwind CSS, MongoDB, and Vercel hosting as our default stack. We optimise every build for Core Web Vitals, local SEO, and mobile performance from day one — not as an afterthought. Our web development service in Varanasi is built around this standard, and everyone who joins Synor is expected to hold it.

Role 1: Full Stack Web Developer (Next.js + Node.js)

This is the most critical hire we are making right now. If you are a developer who can build production-grade full stack applications using Next.js on the frontend and Node.js on the backend — and you take performance and clean code seriously — I want to talk to you.

Here is what the work actually looks like: client websites with custom CMS integrations, e-commerce platforms with payment gateways, booking and appointment systems, dashboard applications, and SEO-optimised marketing sites. Every build gets deployed on Vercel. Every API gets built clean. Every component gets written to be reusable.

What we need from you:

  • Strong working knowledge of Next.js 14+ App Router — SSR, ISR, and server components are not new concepts to you
  • Node.js backend experience — REST APIs, authentication flows, MongoDB integration
  • Tailwind CSS proficiency — you can build a responsive layout without touching a stylesheet directly
  • Git discipline — clean commits, readable code, no mystery files pushed at 1am
  • Ability to work independently — I will brief you, you will build it, we will review together

On AI-assisted coding: Using Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Claude, v0, or any other AI coding tool is completely fine — encouraged, even. I care about what ships and how well it works, not how you got there. What I do care about is that you understand the code you are submitting. "The AI wrote it and I do not know why" is not an acceptable answer when a client's site goes down at 9am.

What you will get: Real production projects with real clients. Your name in the credits where it belongs. Fair compensation on a per-project basis to start, with a path to a fixed retainer as volume grows. You will build things that are actually live, actually used, and actually searchable on Google — not internal tools that disappear into a company intranet.

Engagement model: Freelance or project basis to start. Salary-based retainer once we establish working rhythm and consistent volume. Both remote and Varanasi-based candidates are welcome.

Role 2: Sales Manager (Female Candidates Strongly Encouraged)

Let me explain the context here before anything else. Synor's primary market is local businesses in Varanasi — shop owners in Vishwanath Gali, clinic owners in Lanka, hotel managers near the Ghats, educators in Sigra, real estate agents in Bhelupur. The sales conversation in this market is consultative and relationship-driven. It requires patience, the ability to explain digital value in plain language, and the confidence to follow up consistently without being pushy.

Based on the client conversations we have had, and the dynamics of how local business owners in Varanasi respond in a professional sales context, female candidates tend to bring the combination of warmth, clarity, and persistence that converts these conversations into signed projects. That is not a statement about who is more capable — it is an observation about what this specific role requires to succeed in this specific market. Male candidates are welcome to apply and will be considered on equal merit.

What this role involves:

  • Reaching out to local Varanasi businesses — directly, through WhatsApp, through Instagram DMs, through referrals — and starting real conversations about their digital presence
  • Understanding enough about web development, SEO, and digital marketing to have a credible conversation without needing to read from a script
  • Following up on inbound leads from synor.in and converting them from enquiries into paying clients
  • Helping build and maintain relationships with existing clients for repeat work and referrals
  • Representing Synor in local business networking contexts — events, associations, offline communities

What we need from you:

  • Excellent communication — in Hindi, English, or Hinglish depending on who you are talking to
  • Genuine confidence in one-on-one conversations, not just written communication
  • Basic understanding of what websites, SEO, and digital marketing actually do for businesses — you do not need to be technical, but you cannot be completely unfamiliar either
  • Self-motivated — this role has no one standing over you monitoring calls. You set your own schedule and own your results.

What you will get: Commission on every project you close — structured fairly, paid promptly. As volume grows, a fixed retainer plus commission structure. This role has significant income potential if you are genuinely good at building trust with local business owners — which is the one skill that scales directly with effort and personality, not just experience.

Role 3: Creative Designer (UI/UX + Brand + Social)

Synor's design standard is not "make it look nice." It is: make it convert, make it load fast, and make it look like a real business made it — not an AI template with stock photos and a blue gradient. If you have looked at synor.in and felt like the visual standard could be higher, you might be exactly who we need.

This role covers UI/UX design for client websites in Figma, brand identity work (logos, colour systems, typography), and social media creative assets for Synor's own content and client deliverables. You do not need to be a developer — but you need to understand how your designs will be implemented and spec your work accordingly.

What we need from you:

  • A portfolio of real projects — not Dribbble shots of fictional apps, but actual things that were built and used
  • Figma proficiency — components, auto-layout, prototypes, developer handoff
  • An eye for typography and spacing that goes beyond "it looks okay"
  • The ability to take a brief like "we are building a website for a traditional Varanasi sweet brand" and produce something that feels culturally resonant, not generic
  • Willingness to iterate — good design is a conversation, not a one-shot delivery

Engagement model: Per-project or per-deliverable. Open to a part-time retainer arrangement for the right candidate.

Role 4: Video Editor + Cinematographer

Synor is expanding into video content — for clients who need cinematic brand videos, product shoots, and testimonial content, and for our own content presence including the founder's personal brand channel at @itshashwatmaurya. We are looking for one person who can do both: get behind a camera and shoot something that looks intentional, then get behind a timeline and edit something that holds attention.

You do not need a cinema camera to apply. You need an eye, a sense of rhythm in editing, and the ability to make a Varanasi street food brand or a local education institute look premium on screen.

What we need from you:

  • Hands-on experience with a mirrorless or DSLR camera — exposure control, colour temperature, lens choices
  • Video editing in Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or CapCut Pro — at least one of these at a professional level
  • Understanding of what "cinematic" actually means beyond just adding a film grain overlay — composition, movement, pacing
  • Ability to turn around short-form content (30–60 second reels) within 24–48 hours when needed
  • Experience with colour grading is a strong advantage

Engagement model: Per-video or per-day rate for shoots. Open to a monthly retainer for consistent volume.

What Working With Synor Actually Looks Like

No daily standups. No pointless check-ins. No "can you share your screen so I can watch you work" energy. You will get a clear brief, a deadline, a fair rate, and the creative latitude to do the work well. You will also get direct feedback — honest, specific, and without corporate softening. If something is not good enough, I will say so and explain why. If something is excellent, I will say that too.

Synor is not a startup pretending to be a corporation. We are a small, focused team in the making — the kind where your contribution is visible, your name is attached to real work, and the things you build actually matter to the businesses using them.

We have helped a Varanasi local business achieve 300% more leads through web development and local SEO. We took a silk saree brand from zero to ₹32 lakhs in monthly revenue. These are not projections. They are documented outcomes that the people joining Synor will contribute to creating — for more businesses, at greater scale.

If you want to understand the full scope of what Synor does and what we are building toward, our services page and about page give you the complete picture.

How to Apply

Do not send a formatted CV as your first message. Send something real. Tell me which role you are applying for, show me something you have built or sold or shot or designed, and write two or three sentences about why Synor specifically — not just "I am looking for an opportunity." I read every message personally and I respond to ones that are clearly written by an actual human who actually read this post.

Applications go through our contact page. WhatsApp works too if you have our number. We will schedule a short call, look at your work together, and go from there.

Synor is building something real in Varanasi. If you are serious about your craft and want to build it with us — this is the right time to reach out.
